House of Assembly aspirants who have completed their screening exercise and qualified to contest the APC House of Assembly primary election in Ondo state have kicked against the idea of a consensus candidature being peddled around by some politicians in Ondo state. The aspirants reiterated that they fully aligned with the directives of the National Secretariat of the party which instructed that all APC aspirants for the House of Assembly seat must go to the field and not be disenfranchised. A political support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akure North Local Government Area has obtained the Expression of Interest and Nomination Form for Hon. Oluwole Samuel Fanibuyan as preparations intensify for the 2027 general elections. The group, known as APC Sorosoke, said the move reflects its strong backing for Fanibuyan’s ambition to represent Akure North in the Ondo State House of Assembly. According to the group, the decision was driven by its conviction that the aspirant is best positioned to deliver effective representation for the constituency.
