The National Association of University Students (NAUS) OSUN CMC has announced a peaceful protest scheduled for Monday, November 10, 2025, at 8:00am, in response to what it describes as exorbitant accommodation costs and exploitative agent fees affecting students of the University of Ilesa (UNILESA) and other students residing in the Ijesa community. According to the association, the cost of renting accommodation around UNILESA has continued to surge at an alarming rate, with some landlords allegedly placing rental prices on par with high-income neighborhoods such as Lekki in Lagos State. The students argue that these price increases do not reflect corresponding improvements in living conditions and essential amenities.
