The association describes the hike as unjustifiable, insensitive, and anti-student, coming at a time when Nigerian families are already grappling with the harsh economic realities of inflation and rising cost of living. NAUS CMC Osun Pays Solidarity Visit to OAU Following Robbery Incident

In response to the recent robbery and burglary incidents that shook the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) campus, the National Association of University Students (NAUS), Campus Monitoring Committee (CMC), Osun Axis, has paid a solidarity and courtesy visit to the institution. The delegation was led by the Chairman of NAUS CMC Osun, Comrade Adeleke Samson Okikijesu, alongside other executive members including the Director of Security and Project Delivery, Comrade Olaore David Kolokolo. The visit aimed to express sympathy, engage with stakeholders, and promote stronger security collaboration. During the visit, the NAUS team met with the university’s Chief Security Officer (CSO) to discuss proactive steps toward improving student safety.
