NAPSS Election: Lherey Declares Intent to Run for Assistant General Secretary

Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife In the build-up to the upcoming election of the National Association of Political Science Students (NAPSS), a prominent student, Alo Aduralere Mercy—popularly known as Lherey —has officially declared her intention to run for the position of Assistant General Secretary. In a statement released to fellow NAPSSITES, Lherey expressed a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to serve the department. She emphasized her vision to build a responsive and united department where every student feels heard, engaged, and valued.
“If elected, I intend to work closely with the General Secretary and the executive team to enhance communication, ensure timely dissemination of information, and increase student involvement in both academic and extracurricular activities,” she stated.
Lherey also pledged to champion academic support initiatives, such as peer learning sessions and tutorials, to boost academic performance among students. She promised to be a dependable team player, contributing actively to the growth and smooth running of departmental activities. In concluding her declaration, she appealed to students to support her candidacy, urging them to "choose competence" and "choose Lherey." The Assistant General Secretary position is one of the key roles in the NAPSS executive council, responsible for assisting in documentation, information flow, and student engagement. With the race heating up, all eyes are on the candidates as they unveil their visions for the department’s future.
