Revitalizing Sports at UNILESA: Student Petition to Management

To: University of Ilesa Management We, the students of UNILESA, are deeply concerned about the current state of sports activities on our campus. As passionate supporters of various sports, we find it crucial to address the inadequate organization and execution of sports events, which significantly impacts our educational experience.
The existing sports activities suffer from disorganization, poor publicity, and a lack of the vigor and competitiveness that should define collegiate sports. This not only dampens our morale and motivation but also hinders our ability to develop athletic skills and compete effectively with other institutions. We respectfully request the school management to provide clarity on the following issues: 1. Insufficient Funding: Why is there a lack of adequate resources allocated to support sports activities and teams? 2. Organizational Deficiencies: What steps will be taken to enhance the planning, coordination, and execution of sports events? 3. Competitive Edge: How will the university ensure that our sports teams are well-prepared and competitive against other schools? We firmly believe that a robust sports program is essential for our holistic development, promoting teamwork, discipline, and school pride. Furthermore, it is through regular, well-organized competitions on campus that our teams can hone their skills and build confidence to excel in external competitions. Therefore, we urge the university management to take the following actions: 1. Increased Financial Support: Allocate adequate resources to bolster sports activities, teams, and facilities. 2. Enhanced Event Management: Develop a comprehensive strategy to improve the organization and execution of sports events. 3. Promotion of Competitive Spirit: Implement measures to ensure our sports teams are competitive and well-prepared to represent UNILESA.     Aren't the 100level student going to play the FRESHER cup because as we all hear the rumors the school is about to play an inter faculty tournament which some say it's VC cup but my main concern and most 100level student concern. is that how will the 100level student persitipating if they haven't even played the freshman cup how will they know which sport they are good at if they don't organize a tournament for the freshmen's ,each school all play the freshman cup so it would be unfear to the 100level if the school did no host the freshman cup for them because as most of us are aware the 200level played there during the time they wear in 100level, this won't only improve them but also make them discover there talent in each sport they can play

NAUS CMC Osun Pays Solidarity Visit to OAU Following Robbery Incident

In response to the recent robbery and burglary incidents that shook the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) campus, the National Association of University Students (NAUS), Campus Monitoring Committee (CMC), Osun Axis, has paid a solidarity and courtesy visit to the institution. The delegation was led by the Chairman of NAUS CMC Osun, Comrade Adeleke Samson Okikijesu, alongside other executive members including the Director of Security and Project Delivery, Comrade Olaore David Kolokolo. The visit aimed to express sympathy, engage with stakeholders, and promote stronger security collaboration.
